    Born in a little village in the countryside of South Africa. Beacause of a tribe's problem the young Rolihlahla moved to Qunu and He was the first of the family to go to school. In 1939 he was enrolled at the University College of Fort Hare . One year after he left the College, in 1942 he joined the National African Congress and was active of the anti-apartheid movement. For 20 years Nelson directed peaceful, non-violent acts of defiance against the government and its racist policies. In 1963 Mandela was brought to trial and has a life imprisonment. He was liberated and President in 1994.
