    Nightingale born in Italy on May 12, 1820. She slowly developed a passion for hospitalizing the ill. She spent her life doing so, before passing away on August 13, 1910.

    Nightingale was born in Florence, Italy on May 12, 1820. As a child, she was resourceful, relentless, never married. 1837 mystical calling, beggining 2-year tour of Europe, 1839 "coming out" for Queen Victoria. In 1845, she was convinced that she should be a nurse. She spent the rest of her life after 1861 working in a nursery, died August 13, 1910
