The man who created the Civil Rights Movement

MLKJR, created a civil rights movement where people who had black or brown skin could have equal rights as a person with white skin.

MLKJR continued push towards civil rights and equality for all. Even amongst the distrust, hatred, skin color segregation, even jail time could not force him to waver. In fact, it made him pressure segregationists and the government even more with his non-compliance protest policy. He held speeches and rallies and continued to preach about equality and peace for everyone.

As a minority in the United States during the mid 1900's, you would be segregated from people who were white. There were 'special' fountains, seats and schools for people who were 'colored'. Usually they were of poor quality. For whites, the same thing happened only these were of much better quality. When Martin started protests and rallies for civil rights, they received severe criticism from religious groups, and whites. Not only were they harassed they were also beaten, lynched and threatened by some specific groups. Some targeted not only blacks but also Catholics.
