The man you changed the face of sports

Jackie Robinson was the first African-American to play for an all white baseball team. He changed the sports world that we live in now.

Jackie Robinson was an athlete who grew up playing a lot of sports. He broke records in track and excelled in all basketball, track, football, and baseball. He was a soldier in the war, but was discharged after an incident. After the war he was later asked to join the Brooklyn Dodgers, an all white baseball team. He accepted the offer, and became the first African-American to play professional baseball. This event, helped other African-Americans play for professional sports, like football.

    Life in Jackie Robinson's world

The life was challenging, for him as an African-American, he was an amazing athlete who fought for what he believed in. Many white people thought he was a disgrace to the game of baseball, but not backing down, soon led to the arrival of other Negro athletes. In that point of time in life Whites and Africans were not usually allowed to participate in the same activities, or facilities.
