The 26th president of the U.S.A

Teddy Roosevelt was a politician, author, explorer, hunter, and also the 26th president of the U.S.

As a young boy Theodore Roosevelt was home schooled and spent a lot of time inside due to illness and asthma. Later he took up a physical routine that included weight lifting and boxing. He later went to Harvard college and worked very hard there, especially after his father died. He graduated in 1880 and went to law school. Though he did not stay long and went into politics but eventually became Assistant U.S. Navy Secretary. He was made vice president and after McKinley was assassinated became president at 42. he was president for 2 terms and left office in 1909. He did a few other things before he died at 60 in his sleep.

They did not have TV or cell phones and radios were very primitive. They did not have many cars so most people rode bikes. People would spend their nights playing the piano, reading the bible or playing cards.
